Sussex-based Life Coach, Adrienne, helps women shift from anxiety and overwhelm to calm and grounded living. She opens up and shares her personal experience of overcoming deep rooted anxiety and overwhelm...
Last November, I stood on a stage and spoke about “The Lurch” and how, when life gets a little messy, we often start seeking solutions from outside ourselves, lurching from one solution or piece of advice to the next.
We ask Google, social media, neighbours, and Auntie Ethel for advice rather than tuning into our centre and seeking stillness and strength from within ourselves.
In these moments of anxiety and uncertainty, we can become so dependent on outside influences that we forget how wise our own body and mind are — how well they know us and the bespoke solutions that suit us as individuals.
When I was writing the talk and deciding what to say, I wasn’t sure how useful this content would be, but I was certain I wanted to get vulnerable and show the steps I have taken in my life to move from deep anxiety to a healthier and happier life. In the past, I had kept my personal life tightly private, but this openness and exposure taught me so much. Showing something raw and honest is how we truly connect with others.
Since giving that talk a couple of months ago, I can’t tell you how many times it has come up in conversation, so it’s clear to me now that what I said is deeply relevant.
Have a listen — I’d love to know what you think!
And if you’re ready to tune into your centre and tap into your innate wisdom, let’s talk.
